PROTECTBYE⦁YOUPROTECT (2023) is a site-specific video installation commissioned by Aurora Picture Show and Buffalo Bayou Partnership that entreats the audience to intervene in Houston’s living waterway, Buffalo Bayou. Utilizing text and archival footage of alligators and snapping turtles accompanied by sounds of crickets, frogs, computer-generated voices, and regional sonics, the audience is informed of the significance of the bayou to the city as well as the etymology of the word "bayou."
