C.R.E.A.M. is a series of screenprints created through the reuse of reject photographs. These rejects are given new life through the use of screenprinting. Each “Money Set” is created intuitively with as an “edition” of 15-20 printed over an inkjet print. The original inkjet prints were photographs that for whatever were unsuccessful due to errors in printing or simply abandoning a project. C.R.E.A.M. The color palettes and style references early hip hop fashion and is an example of printmaking bricolage; making do with what is at hand. C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) allows me to sublimate my anxieties about money and the expenses associated with the photographic process by printing my own currency.
